Parents For Future UK was formed in 2019 by a network of parents inspired by Greta Thunberg and the Fridays for Future movement.  The group’s aim is to normalise climate advocacy for parents. By joining together, they hope to enable parents to be part of the change – be parents for a future – and be able to look back and tell their children, they did everything they could.  The action repertoire of the group includes: (a) raising awareness about the severity of the climate and biodiversity crisis; (b) informing parents of the existing solutions and of the systemic change that is necessary to restore our planet; (c) organising campaigns locally, nationally and internationally and supporting parent and family focussed campaigns of other organisations involved with climate and biodiversity; and (d) supporting parents who are leading climate activism within their communities and schools.
