The Camps for Climate Action (often known as Climate Camp) were campaign gatherings which aimed to draw attention to the issue of climate change and provide a base for direct action against major carbon emissions. The camps took place between 2006 and 2009 in the UK, focussed on fossil fuel infrastructure like Drax power station, Heathrow and Kingsnorth power station, and the movement officially disbanded in 2011. The camps were run according to anarchist principles, attempting to accommodate a range of participants, perspectives and tactics.
