The Center for Sustainable Energy in partnership with the UK Youth Climate Coalition ran a community energy peer-mentoring project which aimed to increase young adults’ skills and understanding of sustainable energy for the benefit of the community energy movement. It ran from 2014-2015 and was funded by the Office for Civil Society and the Social Investment Business. 20 young people (aged 18-29) were paired with 20 mentors with shared interests and based in the same part of the country similar location as the young person they mentored, and then had the opportunity to run their own projects.
